Kasia, the mother of Olivia (Rm. 16) visited the school on Wed. March 16th to talk at assembly about the lovely Polish tradition of bringing a basket of food to the church for blessing on Holy Saturday. The basket contains samples of food such as bread, eggs, sausage and salt, and is lined with a lace napkin and decorated with spring greenery. This food is shared between family members on Easter Sunday morning. Thank you, Kasia, for sharing your tradition with us.
