On Monday the 12th of March we were fortunate to have been visited by the Moon and Sixpence Travelling Marionette Theatre company. They put on a marionette puppet show for all the classes in the school about Michlín Óg – the last leprechaun in Ireland who was fiercely protective of the treasure at the end of his rainbow.

The children really enjoyed the show – especially when a few familiar teachers popped up in the story. A big thank you to Ms. Conway for organising this event as part of our Book Week celebrations.

After the show the 6th class got to have a backstage tour. They saw the puppets close up, examined the set and equipment used and got to ask the puppeteers some questions.
